Chula Vista is a family-friendly neighborhood located in southern San Diego County. With a population of nearly 270,000, it’s the second-largest city in San Diego, and is home to a large variety of homes, attractions, and things to do. Chula Vista means “beautiful view,” and boasts great year-round weather, miles of trails, canyons, and plenty of open space.
The area is home to several attractions that draw people from all over San Diego; including the Living Coast Discovery Center, the Sweetwater Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, the Chula Vista Marina & Yacht Club, Chula Vista Friendship Park, and Otay Ranch Town Center.
The main downtown area boasts quite a few major retailers, restaurants, movie theaters, and a variety of shops and boutiques. Third Avenue Village, another downtown area, features historic buildings, unique shops, a weekly farmers market, landmark restaurants, and seasonal outdoor music concerts.
